Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires, the capital, is an European-flavored city with French-influenced Beaux Arts buildings, and those with a Spanish flavor.

The Argentine tango is special in its style- and its approach. There are codes and customs, dos and don’ts to joining in. So start with a private lesson or two: most hotels can put you in touch with a teacher, or you can reach out to one of the more reputable schools, such as Mora Godoy Tango or Escuela Carlos Copello. Once you have the basics under your belt, you can head to local spots to go to a group class and practice. Some that welcome beginners are La Catedral, Confitera Ideal and la Viruta.
Arts and Culture Abound
Horses are ingrained in the culture; polo is a major sport and gauchos still herd cattle. A trip to an estancia in the pampas (long flat plain) outside Buenos Aires is a must, as is participating in a asada, or barbeque.

Another great wine region is Mendoza with the most well-known wines come from.

Patagonia
Patagonia is a beautiful region, starting in the north of the region in Bariloche filled with blue sparkling lakes and green forested mountains.

German influence is strong here, and weather conditions are excellent in winter and summer, offering outdoor pursuits from sightseeing to hiking and biking, kayaking, fishing and snow sports in winter. Luxury properties offer relaxation at day’s end.
Calafate
To the south Calafate will welcome you to the glacier lands where you and not only see glaciers but also hear “ice thunder” as formations collapse into lakes.

The City at the End of the World in the very end of South America is Ushuaia, where you can follow in Darwin’s footprints to see the nature of the area by cruise or a train, ski in the mountains.
